"Swiss" Forum

During the summer of 2019 the Arnold and Leona Finkler Institute of Holocaust Research decided to broaden its international activities by creating a number of international geographical or topical forums.

The "Swiss Forum" is a geographical forum of researchers, active contributors to Holocaust Education and Commemoration, and members of the "Second Generation" and "Third Generation" in Switzerland who deal with Holocaust research, education and commemoration.  

The Forum was conceived of in August 2019 as a framework for sharing information about publications, symposia, conferences and workshops in Switzerland that deal with the Holocaust, and to foster cooperative ventures between forum members and members of other Finkler Institute forums in Israel and elsewhere.

The "Swiss Forum" holds virtual meetings by means of its internet list, and will also hold face to face meetings when members of the Finkler Institute come to Switzerland or when Swiss Forum members come to Israel. Both the meetings and the group's internet list are used to share information about Holocaust related activities in Switzerland with members of other Finkler Institute forums, and to receive information about the activities of the various Institute forums in Israel and elsewhere.
