Library Collections

The library contains a large selection of books and media in a wide variety of Jewish subjects:
  • Bible
  • Talmud and oral law
  • Jewish history
  • Land of Israel studies
  • Hebrew language
  • Jewish philosophy
  • Related fields (Assyriology, religions etc.)
  • Reference books such as:  atlases, encyclopedias, general reference, dictionaries and maps

The Reading Room collection is designated for reference only and cannot be borrowed.

The Open Stacks collection may be borrowed.

Bar-Ilan master's and doctoral dissertations (DIS)
Master's and doctoral dissertations on Jewish studies are in the reading room – (bookcase) cupboard number 8 near the elevator

Microcopies (FIC, MIC)
The library has a collection of Microcopies of books, newspapers and periodicals.
The microfilms and microfiches are available for viewing, scanning or downloading.
